Damn. I don't know where to start here. You want to talk about some soap opera jargon, well then this is the right place. Talk about being a struggle. My oh my.

The NFL is like the Days of our Lives of sports. There is so much drama going on right now it is just ridiculous. They should a daytime show out of all the crap going on right now.
I don't know where to start. First you have all these domestic violence charges, then you have a Supreme Court ruling over the size of a football, and now you have a commissioner getting resigned to a contract until 2024 with mega-mege money.
Oh yeah, and then there's that whole take-a-knee thing.
Ouch.
Yup, the NFL is a crapload of, well, crap. You thought politics was bad. Ha. Try having to deal with sports and politics. Double whammy.
However, make it be known that, through all the nonsense that the NFL goes through, it is still a $13 billion dollar "monopoly" that takes in almost 2/3 of the American population. Wow. Good for them.
No one cares about that stat, though. Nope. We want to talk about the juiciness that pores out of the NFL when you squeeze it just enough. We want to dig in and find that priceless artifact called the secrets of the NFL. We want more. So let's get more.
Now, the most important matter at hand is regarding the dumbest, most ego-centric individual on the planet. Before you answer, I will tell you it is Colin Kaepenick, not anyone else. Of course, you could also call him one of the most revolutionary, prophetic, individuals in the world, too.
Before anyone says anything and starts calling me a racist or whatnot since we live in a country full of labels, let me set one thing straight: I am only presenting facts on this matter. I am not trying to take a stand with one race or another. This is all facts that need to be addressed and looked at.
Let's review the story. On the 26th of August, 2016, Colin Kaepernick, the backup quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, gained national attention for sitting during the National Anthem. On the 28th, Kaepernick explained his actions by saying, "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," according to NFL.com. Soon, on September 1st, other NFL players joined in to sit during the anthem, and on September 9th, a player on the Denver Broncos took the first knee for the cause. Following these, a number of people starting to sit or "take a knee" during the national anthem throughout sports, entertainment, media, and in regular life. "Take-a-knee" grew and it kept growing.

For starters, Kaepernick is right. Black Americans are the most oppressed race in the country. According to the ucr.fbi.gov, among single-bias hate crime incidents of 2015, 52.2% of the 4,216 victims were "victims of crimes motivated by their offenders anti-Black or African American bias. That is a horrendous number. Now, compared to Whites, there is only an 18.7% victim rate of anti-White bias. So, yes, Colin was right to say that Blacks are the most oppressed.
Yes, Colin, you are also right about the fact that it is mainly Whites that do the targeting. According to ucr.fbi.gov, in 2015, of the 5493 known hate-crime offenders, 48.4% were White, compared to the 24.3% that were Black. Yes there is a problem there. It is big and should be addressed.
However, the narrative is looked at wrong.
According to Colin, police brutality is a major problem in the USA, where many Blacks die all the time from oppression by policemen. Well, Colin couldn't be more wrong. According to a tally conducted by the Washington Post in 2016, only sixteen unarmed Black men were killed by cops. That is out of 20 million in the country. The prior year had thirty-six deaths. Now, looking at stats, a Black man has a better chance to be struck by lightning than killed by the police. So, there is no epidemic of police brutality to be afraid of. Otherwise, there would be an epidemic of lightning strikes, so I propose we all never go outside ever again then.
Alright, I get it, not all brutality results in death. Good point.
According to a report by the Police-Public Contact Survey that includes over 70,000 U.S. residents, they asked how many people were in contact with the police. The numbers showed that 20.7% were Whites and 17.5% were Blacks. Also, there are only an average of 0.32 contacts with the police per year for a Black, compared to 0.35 for a White. However, there are 0.6% of Blacks were victim to physical force by the police, compared to only 0.2% for Whites.

Also, the funny thing about all this, is that Blacks are three times more likely to commit violent crimes against White men than vice versa. This stat is according to the National Crime Victimization Survey. All these stats are representative on nationalreview.com.
So, we can either believe Colin and take a knee for Black oppression, or we can look at the facts, and stats, and question the unquestionable. The problem is, you cannot question a matter like this. Why? Well, because, if you do, you will be looked at as a racist, White supremacist. A prime example is our President, Mr. Trump, who stood up against Colin and of course got derailed by the media.
Now, another thing I want us to examine is this fact that Whites are against Blacks that Colin seems to argue for. Alright, alright. This makes me laugh. I am sorry, but it does. How can Colin say that, when the American people that he is standing out against voted in a Black president to office. Twice. Listen, Colin, we cannot possibly be all racist when our president was Black. Out of the voting demographics, 43% of Whites voted for Obama in 2008, according to roper center.cornell.edu.
So, I must say to Colin that there is not a giant anti-Black problem in America. Sure, there is racism, there will always be racism, but to say everything is targeted on Black people is wrong. He says, "There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder." The ironic part of that statement is that most of the murder he is talking about is done in Black communities by fellow Black citizens. Most of the criminals in the country may be White, with a 58.4% of inmate record according to bop.gov, or the Federal Bureau of Prisons, but that is mostly due to the fact that 76.9% of people in the U.S. are white, according to census.gov. With Blacks, there are 13.3% of the population and 37.9% are imprisoned. So, there is a higher rate of crime per Black than there is per White, so Colin cannot blame Whites for all the crime in America. Now the evener more ironic thing is that, according to a study by us news.com, more Whites were killed by Blacks than Blacks were killed by Whites. In 2015, there were about 500 known reports of Blacks killing Whites, compared to 229 reports of Whites killing Blacks. So yet again, how can Colin say that Blacks are more at danger and more oppressed than Whites???

Alright, I get it. This is getting too out of hand. Let's get back to the problem at large.
I think we should address the military aspect to this problem. I cannot understand how Mr. Kaepernick can kneel to the anthem, kneel to the flag, kneel to the country, when there are people around the world fighting for us right now. There are people in Afghanistan fighting for his ass to sit on a bench and "work" through a "record" seven-year, $126 million contract. Well, Colin better be taking a knee then, I mean it is not like his country is protecting him or anything.
I mean, my gosh. You are making more than anybody in football and you have the audacity to complain that you are not getting treated right? Wow.
However, I do get it. Someone needed to be a voice for the people. Why not the $126 million guy. He definitely is oppressed. I mean, let's not even get into the fact that he was adopted by two white parents and raised in a decent family. So, yeah, he definitely has suffered oppression and should speak out against Whites.
I know, I keep digressing. That is my fault. It is just such a terrible thing that something like thus, taking a knee without understanding the facts, that gets to me.

Anyway, it should be known that the United States has an active military amount of about 1,300,000 right now. That is about one million people that Mr. Kaepernick is disregarding and disrespecting by kneeling to the flag. Sure the flag is just a piece of cloth that waves in the sky on a pole, but it is more than that. The U.S. flag stands for our freedom, our equality, our founding, our nation, our principles, and our military. So, by taking a knee, you are giving the finger to all those fighting for you to be alive and have the freedom you have.
How can you kneel to the flag? How? How can you demoralize all those troops overseas fighting for you? How? You even had two million people fight for anti-slavery during the civil war, you even had 231,000 people (according to civilwar.org) fight for your "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness." So, please don't take a knee and leave all those troops that have died for you in the dust.
There is one last major point I want to make. It has to do with this Black Lives Matter that has really sprung itself recently. First off, it is good for people to go out and protest the fact that Blacks do get oppressed and for equality to all. However, to go out in the streets and cause all these riots and flip cars, burn flags and other objects, and start a bunch of fights is wrong.

To think, that fifty years ago Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. walked down the streets of America in protest of Black segregation for all the right reasons, and now groups are walking down those same streets in protest, but with guns and fire and fists, instead of peace and words of wisdom. This is not for Dr. King, Jr. wanted. He is one of the greatest Americans of our time, and for Black Lives Matter to go out there and try to preach what he preached while shooting civilians is an absolute disgrace.
These people seem to not care about Black-on-Black violence, but only White-on-Black violence. Let's look at Milwaukee, where a Black man was shot for not putting down his weapon after a cop repeatedly asked him to. The cop eventually shot the man and killed him. Soon after, Black Lives Matter took to the streets and burned down buildings and flags and beat up White people after chanting "black power." Yet, a little nine-year-old was killed during the riot by fellow rioters, and the death went largely unnoticed. So, this whole Black Lives Matter movement seems corrupted, even though there are good people involved.
Now, to come to a close here, let's remember where this all stemmed from. It was that one game of Colin Kaepernick kneeling for his argument of making a stand against Black oppression.
The NFL is a joke for letting this all happen and not even taking a stand. They allowed Beyonce to perform at the Super Bowl with a Black Panthers shirt, which is a group similar to Black Lives Matter. The NFL is allowing this kid to kneel, and allowing everyone else to kneel, during a nationally televised football game, when these people are making millions of dollars to play this damn game that means nothing but a lust for entertainment.
Fans don't even like the kneeing. Even when some of the New England Patriots players took a knee and were arm-in-arm during the anthem, the fans booed. Let me repeat that: the fans booed. Forbes.com even talks about how the NFL is losing money and viewers due to the take-a-knee outburst. So, this stance, or knee as I should say, is not good for the game and the NFL should stop it.

Give me a break NFL. You are a joke. You allowed a man who beat his wife, Greg Hardy, back into the game after a four game suspension. You give a man, Ezekiel Elliott, who caused a fight in a bar and used violence against a women on three occasions a six game suspension. You allow a man who beat his son, Adrian Peterson, and caused his son injuries, to come back after six games.
Here's the funny part of the NFL. Then, when a man, Tom Brady, "allegedly deflated" a football, you suspend him four games for disrupting the integrity of the game?! You give three abusers a 4-6 game suspension, and then a man who may or may not have dropped a football a couple of ounces under the league's regulations appears and you give him the same amount about? How is beating a women or a child the same as lowering the pressure on a football?!?!?!
The NFL is an absolute joke. Add along the way they allow this "take a knee" to happen, and they can open a comedy club down the street. This kneeing during the national anthem is disrespecting the integrity of the game. If Tom Brady got suspended, then these damn kneeing players should, too, for this is ruining the integrity of the game with a loss of fans and revenue.
Yes racial discrimination is a problem and Black oppression is a problem, but this taking a knee bit has gone too far for all the wrong reasons.
So, do something about it NFL. You do not exist without the flag waving on a pole, so why don't you stand for that country.
Or you can just take a knee NFL, cause, after all, that is what you guys do best.
